Goodbye S&P

My summer internship in the financial district has come to an end. I’d never really been down here before, but it didnt take me that long to get acclimated, but it seems like I am leaving just as soon as I was coming.
I worked as an intern for Standard & Poor’s creative department at their building on 55 Water St. I’ll miss hearing and seeing helicopters taking off from the Wall Street heliport every few hours, I’ll miss getting to see work I did every week in the pages of CreditWeek (not to mention the cover), and I leave with a good feeling of accomplishment and gained experience.
I’m definitely happy with what I’ve taken away, apart from a ton of work for my book, I gained experience working in a Creative Department at the corporate level, having to get used to meetings, editors and many levels of review for each peice of work. While I don’t know if I’ve learned to be as patient as I’d live, I’m sure I’ve gained much more then I had when I came in.

Nice cover, glad you enjoyed your time at McGraw-Hill..
